A Brief Snapshot

I am a 31 year old Clinical Psychologist from the UK who is currently on a two year career break to expand my career horizons and explore Canada. In my spare time I’m a passionate mountain biker and skier. I also enjoy walking, kayaking and running, hence the pull to live in Canada. I have a two year working holiday visa so I’m looking to settle in one place so I can get involved with the local community and enjoy the outdoors.
For part of my two years in Canada my long term partner will be joining me. He is a 35 year old Paramedic also from the UK. We enjoy active days and quiet evenings so your house will get minimal wear and tear. We also love animals and both have childhood experiences of owning dogs and cats, so a pet sit would be a massive bonus to us.

Why I Want to House Sit

House sitting, for me, is a great way of gaining a local perspective on a country/community or neighbourhood. As I am travelling from the UK I am keen to experience as authentic an impression of Canada as possible. I'm hopeful that through my house sitting jobs I can explore the area from the comfort, and security, of a home from home .

What I Offer the Home Owner

I'm a mature, reliable, responsible, "house trained" individual. I also own, and rent out, two houses in the UK so I understand the trust that's required when letting someone stay in your home. Through my landlord experience I can appreciate how important it is to maintain a house and I will, not only keep your house clean and tidy, but be quick to manage any issues. If you have any pets it would be my pleasure to look after them. I have experience of owning dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and fish. I'm comfortable with all animals and able to adhere to instructions.
